About the Role
We are seeking a skilled assembly operative to join our team at an aviation manufacturer. The successful candidate will be responsible for the assembly of various components of aircraft parts, ensuring that they meet the required standards of quality and safety.
Requirements
Read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and other manufacturing instructions to assemble systems according to design specifications.
Utilise a variety of hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to perform assembly tasks, such as drilling, riveting, and fastening components together.
Inspect and test components and finished products to ensure that they meet the required quality standards and regulatory requirements.
Identify and report any defects or issues with components or products and work with colleagues to troubleshoot and resolve them.
Follow all safety procedures and guidelines, including wearing protective gear and ensuring that all equipment is in good working condition.
Maintain accurate records of assembly activities, including tracking inventory levels and reporting on progress to supervisors and management.
Participate in training programs and ongoing professional development to enhance knowledge and skills in aircraft assembly.
Qualifications:
Previous experience in assembly or manufacturing, preferably in the aerospace industry.
Knowledge of assembly techniques and tools used in the manufacturing
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturing instructions.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately and efficiently.
Excellent communication skills, including the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
