About the Role
We are currently seeking two skilled Mechanical Fitters to join our team, specialising in both electrical and mechanical aspects of logistics systems within the meat industry. This dynamic role involves working on various components such as conveyor belts, lifting mechanisms, and destackers, requiring a blend of electrical expertise and mechanical proficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Electrical Drawing Analysis:
Interpret and analyse electrical drawings to understand system configurations and wiring diagrams.
2. Electrical Connections and I/O Testing:
Execute precise electrical connections and perform thorough Input/Output (I/O) testing to ensure optimal system functionality.
3. Mechanical Expertise:
Apply mechanical knowledge to contribute to the design, installation, and maintenance of conveyor belts, lifting systems, and destackers.
4. Working at Heights:
Demonstrate proficiency in working at elevated heights, adhering to safety protocols to ensure a secure working environment.
5. Safety Certification:
Possess and maintain relevant safety certifications to uphold industry standards and promote a secure workplace.
6. Scissor Lift Certification:
Maintain certification for operating Scissor Lifts, ensuring competence in handling equipment used for elevated work.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
Proven experience in the electrical and mechanical aspects of logistics systems.
Familiarity with safety regulations and certifications.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Effective communication and teamwork abilities.
