We are looking for an experienced Purchasing Administrator to join our clients team based in Ely. This is a long-term temporary role with an immediate start.
Key Responsibilities:
The main purpose of the role will be to provide purchasing support in line with company policies and procedures. You will be proactively planning all purchasing activities and be directly responsible for ensuring all orders are received in a timely and controlled manner.
You will also provide admin support to the Sales Team and ensure the site is maintained as a clean, secure and safe working environment.
Key Tasks:
Placing all purchase orders accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.
Organise shipments between multiple sites and updating customers and relevant department where required.
Manage customs and transport documentation for all imported items and maintain up to date price lists.
You will also be required to provide cover for the Sales Administrator in times of absence.
Skills and Experience:
The successful candidate will have experience of ISO driven practices, SOPS, processes and systems. You will have good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs and experience of purchasing / ERP systems and processes. You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to disseminate information accurately. You will be task focused and have excellent attention to detail.
