Job Purpose

To supervise a team of 5 CNC operators resolving manufacturing issues when they arise. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and running 5 axis machines ensuring the team complete the work in a timely manner, ensuring that quality is maintained to specific customer requirements.

 Key Responsibilities  

  • Plan and supervise the daily running of the CNC department
  • Ensure the quality of all 5axis operations are maintained and improved
  • 5 Axis machine operation, including –

ü  Tools setting and checking

ü  Part setup

ü  Operation of Fanuc controller

ü  Running off-line programs

  • Creating and editing programs
  • Inspecting parts to engineering drawings
  • Reading engineering drawings including understanding geometric tolerancing
  • Ad hock jig and fixture creation
  • Loggings hours on route cards
  • Carry out daily maintenance checks
  • Machine maintenance
  • To provide clear communication and instructions to team members and to all other departments
  • To ensure that all materials are used efficiently and recorded as required
  • Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety

Job Purpose:

To lead and support the design and manufacturing of tooling across multiple projects, from patterns and moulds through to machining and bonding fixtures. To ensure delivery is to specification, within time, cost and quality constraints.

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

Engineering

o   Design tooling using 3D Computer Aided Design tools

o   Ensure strategies meet performance and quality requirements, and statutory regulations

o   Carry out engineering checks and reviews to ensure functionality of designs

o   Produce detailed manufacturing documents and additional instructions as appropriate

o   Specify proprietary components

Project

o   Participate in projects from estimating to part manufacture

The Role

To ensure the efficient day to day running of the Stores and Logistics department, support production with the supply of materials involved in the manufacturing process. Responsible for external and internal shipping and deliveries, encompassing both speed and accuracy

 Key Accountabilities/Duties

  • Ensure stores areas are kept secure at all times & stock is handled correctly
  • Collate all parts kits in a timely manner to be issued with material kits
  • Ensure all received goods are placed in correct stock location asap
  • Rotate all stock using first in first out system
  • Identify and report any expired / quarantined stock
  • Ensure computerised stock levels of all stock locations are correct at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and alert purchasing of any potential shortfalls

Our Client based near Cambridge is looking for Warehouse Operatives to assist during their busy period. The role will include working as part of a busy team preparing for the distribution of customer orders in a professional and efficient way.

Working hours - 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1pm Friday. Overtime is paid after 40 hours at time and a half. During peak times, overtime will be compulsory.

Main duties:

  • Fold garments appropriately and attach the relevant ticket
  • Update the system under Notes to specify ‘packed as requested’
  • Take responsibility for the quality and efficiency/pace of own work (normally batches of 30 gowns to a hamper; 50 hoods to a tray)
  • Take on all other duties as required within the Packing section.
