Our Client in Littleport is looking to recruit people for their manufacturing lab from now until the end of September with the possibility of the work lasting longer for the right candidate.

Monday – Friday
8.30am - 5pm + Overtime

Pay-rate: £7.50ph

Job Duties

  • Manufacturing reagents for medical diagnostic kits
  • Manufacture liquids from raw chemicals
  • Use precision instruments to coat food extracts on to slides in microscopic quantities
  • Set up the machines manually and then operate and monitor them
  • Coating food and disease extracts onto ELISA plates and then bag them

All Training will be provided to operate specific machinery

Ideal Candidate

  • Strong IT skills are essential
  • Experience using a computerised stock system
  • Methodical, efficient and practical
  • Comfortable with heavy work
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Experience working within a fast moving Laboratory or Manufacturing environment would be an advantage but is not essential
  • An aptitude for machine repair would be advantageous

Mould shop operative- Rotational Moulding

Due to expansion an opportunity has become available within the Mould shop department with one of our clients. – After training the successful

candidate must be able to work (often unsupervised) to a consistently high standard. This role includes both operation of a rotational moulding

machine producing items and finishing the moulded products. Small assembly tasks are sometimes required along with preparing items for despatch.

Key points with the role:

  • Operate the Rotational moulding machine
  • Trim/finish moulded products
  • Basic assembly work
  • Despatch
  • Carry out routine maintenance of moulding machine

The ideal candidate will:

  • Possess a practical ability – ie demonstrate capable control of power tools such as routers/drills etc
  • Be reliable
  • Have good time keeping skills
  • Be able to produce products consistently to the required standard
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Have a positive attitude with a keenness to learn new skills.
  • Be flexible to work payed overtime when required.

 

The position is subject to an alternating shift pattern of 6am – 2pm (5days) and 2pm – 12AM (4 days) Monday to Friday.

The pay for this role is £7.50p/h plus 15% shift allowance. The client offers a competitive salary including shift allowance and a profit based bonus

scheme.
