Our client based just outside of Ely is looking for a Machine Operator to join their business. This role will include working in the Machine Shop on CNC lathes and Fanuc control systems. The successful candidate will have experience working with CNC machines.
Main Responsibilites
● CNC manufacturing of tungsten, brass, stainless steel, PEI and copper parts from raw material bar
● Setting up various CNC machines, changing tools, collets and loading bar feeder
● Selecting programs, adjusting where necessary as well as creating new programs for new components
● Working accurately to drawings, checking and inspecting parts during manufacturing run and following procedures
● Responsible for own work, checking documentation before starting and signing off works orders after completion
● Check and maintain machinery daily
● Cleaning and plating of components
Requirements
● Previous CNC experience will be required
● Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
● A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
● An analytical mindset and organizational skills
● Excellent communication, interpersonal skills and self-motivated
● Keen to learn and take on responsibilities
