Health & Safety Officer

Our Client, a national leader in the pre-cast concrete industry, is looking for an SHE Officer to join their expanding team.

The Role

To assist with the efficient and effective management of the functions of health & safety and environmental issues with the factory’s operations.

Main Responsibilities

To conduct general risk assessments throughout the factory

Assist with health & safety procedures and policies ensuring they are implemented correctly and comply with relevant standards.

Confident communicating with statutory authorities.

Conduct in-house audits and make recommendations for improvement if necessary.

Provide training to all departments within the factory to improve the company’s performance.

Requirements

NEBOSH Certificate (as a minimum)

English & Maths GCSE or equivalent to Grade C or above

A minimum of 2 years previous experience within a construction/heavy machinery environment.

Good computer skills with a sound knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word & PowerPoint

Good time management skills with the ability to prioritise workload and manage a number of tasks concurrently

Membership of Institute of Safety and Health (TECH IOSH)

The successful candidate will be a highly motivated individual with initiative, self-confidence and the drive and ability to work under their own direction or within a team of professionals
