Cad Operator

We have an exciting position to join our client based in Ely as a CAD Operator & Project Support individual to join our project & engineering teams based in Ely, Cambridgeshire. This is an exciting new opportunity for a junior person to develop their skills and has the realistic scope for career progression within a well-established and internationally accredited systems integration company.

The Role

The successful applicant will undertake the complete design and supply of skid mounted and packaged equipment for the oil, gas and power industries, gas turbine producers and EPC companies.

Experience/Knowledge

  • Producing 2D AutoCAD drawings, sketches & layouts.
  • Producing drawings such as Process & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID’s)
  • Generating project documentation using software such as Word, Excel & Adobe Acrobat
  • Compilation of Operation & Maintenance Manuals
  • Experience with 3D AutoCAD software would be beneficial

Additional Skills

  • Experience of using 2D AutoCAD software
  • Ability to read & understand technical information
  • Excellent communication, problem solving & interpersonal skills
  • Highly motivated
  • Keen attention to detail
  • Team player
  • Willingness / desire to learn
