Our client has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Customer Compliance Co-ordinator in their new state of the art distribution centre.

The Role

The successful applicant will have customs experience and an ability to handle customs agents. You will assure the coordination of the import and export flow regarding the bonded warehouse and execute accurate customs clearance documents.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validates the transit or EU export documents into the customs system
  • Controls and assign the customs data into excel files and the bonded warehouse software
  • Verifies and double-check broker invoices
  • Submits the invoices data into the accounting software
  • Prepares and calculate the import clearance summary for the next day
  • Create the customs document for UK deliveries / outbounds of the bonded warehouse
  • Create export customs documents for EU or NON-EU destinations

Additional Requirements

  • Creates certificates of origin if necessary
  • Verifies the origin and customs codes into the customs IT System
  • Carry out miscellaneous ad hoc administrative tasks
  • Manage the authorizations, customs controls and requests with local and national authorities.
  • Daily stock management and inventory updates into the customs IT system

Experience with ERP system, Peoplesoft or Mainframe AS 400 is a benefit but not essential

The Role

You will be responsible for a designated area within the Distribution Centre which will involve the management of multiple employees.

Key Responsibilities

Responsible for ensuring the effective management of your designated area including organising, planning, co-ordinating and distributing tasks to meet the daily, weekly, monthly and yearly objectives according to deadlines and in line with company process and procedures. 

You will track KPI’s and manage operational costs as well as develop, coach and support the Team to achieve short-term as well as future goals whilst promoting a positive attitude and energy in the work environment.

You will manage the operational shift effectively on a rotational basis and manage any shortages. 

Required Skills and Experience

  • Ability to handle complex situations in a professional manner
  • Demonstrable experience in motivating individuals and a team to achieve targets
  • Must have a good knowledge of health and safety procedures
  • Must have knowledge of shipping, receiving and processing functions
  • Ability to communicate with all levels of management and employees to maintain productivity whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met in a timely manner
  • Ability to learn company customised programs such as AS400
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word/Excel or other spreadsheet programs

Certified Equipment Operator is desirable but not essential.

The successful candidate must possess excellent oral/written analytical skills.

Our Client has an exciting opportunity to join their team as a Wave Planner in their new state of the art Distribution Centre in West Suffolk.

The Role

You will be responsible for creating a daily operational plan for processing in the Distribution Centre across the three main aspects of wave planning, personnel planning and follow-up of equipment.

Key Responsibilities

You will have experience and understanding of operational processes and flows. Initiating the daily processing workload, you will need to develop an in-depth knowledge of the entire operation, with an emphasis on systems and people. 

The successful applicant will interface with all department Team Leaders, workers and upper management. You will need to be very flexible to ensure that the wave planning is managed efficiently and in a timely manner to meet business needs

Required Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrable experience in WMS, database query management (AS400 is preferred).
  • Analysis, research and planning skills are essential.
  • Advanced Excel knowledge.
  • System knowledge of Ortec, Commander, PKMS, would be an advantage.
  • Experience in corporate communication with internal and external partners.
  • Must have a high level of insight, reasoning and problem-solving skills.
  • Must be highly organised and able to work autonomously.
  • Experience of working in a Distribution Centre would be advantageous

Our Client, a prestigious school in the local area, is looking for a skilled Engineering Technician to join their team.

The successful candidate will carry out first line servicing of machines and equipment in the workshops to ensure safety and reliability. This will include cleaning, oiling, sharpening, removing dust and minor repairs.

Key responsibilities:

• Report any maintenance issues directly to relevant Head of Department.

• Check all machinery at the end of each day and keep records of any problems / safety issues.
