Our Client, one of Europe’s leading suppliers in the aviation industry, is looking for a Stores person to join their ever-growing team on a full-time basis.  This is an exciting time to join our client as they look to grow in the new year.

The Role

To ensure the efficient day to day running of the Stores and Logistics department, support production with the supply of materials involved in the manufacturing process. Responsible for external and internal shipping and deliveries, encompassing both speed and accuracy

 Key Accountabilities/Duties

  • Ensure stores areas are kept secure at all times & stock is handled correctly
  • Collate all parts kits in a timely manner to be issued with material kits
  • Ensure all received goods are placed in correct stock location asap
  • Rotate all stock using first in first out system
  • Identify and report any expired / quarantined stock
  • Ensure computerised stock levels of all stock locations are correct at all times
  • Monitor stock levels and alert purchasing of any potential shortfalls
  • Carry out stock checks / cycle counting of stock in line with company policy
  • Investigate and report stock discrepancies & Ensure traceability of all raw material goods
  • Ensure goods are packed securely in accordance with customer requirements
  • Ensure goods are dispatched and shipped in a timely manner as requested
  • Build positive and effective relationships with both internal and external contacts
  • Fully comply with company policies including Health and Safety at all times
  • Any other reasonable duties as required

Skills and Experience

  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work accurately in a busy, pressured and demanding environment
  • A good understanding of Aerospace standards and traceability, lot control and record-keeping would be preferable.

Our Client based near Cambridge is looking for Warehouse Operatives to assist during their busy period. The role will include working as part of a busy team preparing for the distribution of customer orders in a professional and efficient way.

Working hours - 7am to 4pm Monday to Thursday, 7am to 1pm Friday. Overtime is paid after 40 hours at time and a half. During peak times, overtime will be compulsory.

Main duties:

  • Fold garments appropriately and attach the relevant ticket
  • Update the system under Notes to specify ‘packed as requested’
  • Take responsibility for the quality and efficiency/pace of own work (normally batches of 30 gowns to a hamper; 50 hoods to a tray)
