Our Client, a world class provider of subsea technologies and services to the global offshore energy industry are looking for a Stores Person to join their busy team based in Littleport.  The Stores Department manages all goods and materials received and issued for the manufacture of cables, hoses and umbilicals.  It also manages the preparation and dispatch of finished products.

Main responsibilities: 

  • To ensure the smooth running of the Goods In/Stores department, maintaining on time delivery & including tasks such as issues and returns, booking goods in, printing travellers, dispatching couriers and rack inspections. 
  • Enter transactions accurately on Visual manufacturing system
  • Ensure all paperwork and materials relative to each job is correctly completed 
  • Comply with the company’s Health and Safety Policy - ensure that the working environment is clean and tidy and complies with Health & Safety requirements/policy
  • In addition to the above responsibilities, the role holder is required to undertake such duties and responsibilities as may reasonably be required from time to time.

The successful candidate will be a good communicator with excellent organisation skills and a positive work attitude.  You must be able to work well on your own and as part of a team in a fast paced warehouse environment. 

Experience / Qualifications required:

Forklift truck certificate, counter balance / flexi truck

Stores and manual handling experience

PC literate inc. MS Office 

 

Hours are Monday to Thursday 8am – 5pm, Friday 8am – 4pm

Forklift Driver

Our client, based on the outskirts of Ely is looking for several despatch operative/forklift drivers to join their team.

The role

Working in a fast paced busy environment you’ll ensure that all products are despatched correctly in accordance with the agreed customer vehicle schedule. The ideal candidate will hold forklift licences & have previous experience in a warehouse or production environment where accuracy of work is essential.

 Main Requirements

  • Ensure all cases have correct tray end cards in line with customer specification
  • Ensure that all trunk depot pallets have the correct depot tape applied
  • Keep the collating area is kept tidy and organised, rotating stock as required
  • Report any stock discrepancies to the Supply Chain Team/Despatch Leader
  • Ensure that drivers keys are always removed and placed in bay control hooks 
  • Ensure that hauliers report in and out times and sign paperwork accurately
  • Inform Supply Chain Team of potential problems (e.g. late deliveries) so that communication and good customer relations are maintained
  • Complete routine checks on and operate forklift trucks and other MHE safely
  • Conduct accurate and timely stock checks of product as requested

Accounts & Administration Co-ordinator

Our Client, a construction company building quality residential homes in the Cambridge area, are looking for an accounts and administration co-ordinator to join their busy team based just outside of Cambridge.

Main Duties

  • Monitor the admin email inbox where all invoices and statements are received. 
  • Log, distribute and track all invoices electronically throughout the process and in time for monthly payment runs.
  • Input invoices authorised for payment and batch input of the main merchant invoices, check against PO’s raised by the Buyer.
  • Input of Sub-Contractor invoices registered for the Construction Industry Scheme, verify new contractors and set up the account in Sage.
  • Raise sales invoices for customers every month
  • Produce monthly reports including reconciliation of supplier invoices against statements, outstanding PO report, maintain and oversee the disputed invoice report.
  • Input timesheet information against relevant project for each employee and collate timesheets for monthly payroll run.
  • Monitor the utility invoices for services used during construction ensuring final bills are correct when completed and handed back to the customer. 
  • Provide cover for the PA to the Directors and assist the Commercial Director’s and QS’s as and when required.

Skills & Experience Required

Experience working with Sage 50

Basic Book keeping qualification or minimum 2/3 year purchase ledger experience

Good organisation skills and the ability to work using your own initiative is vital 

Working hours

Flexible – minimum 35hrs up to 42 ½ hrs per week, core hours are 9am to 4pm Monday to Friday

The Role

Working within the Production department dealing with extrusion, laying-up, braiding and any other processes that are required for the manufacture of sub-sea cables. 

Main Responsibilities:

Operate machinery in a safe & productive manner

Ensuring all work is to the correct quality and manufacturing spec and delivered on time

Maintain cleanliness & tidiness throughout according to H&S requirements

Ensure paperwork is completed accurately against client requirements
