We are looking for an experienced Purchasing / Office Administrator to join our clients team based in Ely.  This is a full-time permanent role with an immediate start.   

Key Responsibilities:

The main purpose of the role will be to provide purchasing and admin support in line with company policies and procedures.  You will be proactively planning all purchasing activities and be directly responsible for ensuring all orders are received in a timely and controlled manner. 

You will also provide admin support to the Sales Team and ensure the site is maintained as a clean, secure and safe working environment.

Key Tasks:

Placing all purchase orders accurately, efficiently and in a timely manner.

Organise shipments between multiple sites and updating customers and relevant department where required.

Manage customs and transport documentation for all imported items

Maintain and monitor critical supplier lists, check quotations are correctly costed and authorised, monitor and maintain supplies of technical and sales literature and attend regular meetings in order to understand how the company strategies impact purchasing activities.

Attend quarterly Health & Safety meetings, carry out risk assessments when required & carry out regular fire alarm testing. 

Manage all office service functions, act as the main operator for the telephone system and reception point including monitoring access to the building.  You will also be responsible for managing company cars including maintenance and service records, services and repairs. 

Skills and Experience:

The successful candidate will have experience of ISO driven practices, SOPS, processes and systems.  You will have good working knowledge of all Microsoft Office programs and experience of purchasing / ERP systems and processes.  You will have excellent communication skills with the ability to disseminate information accurately.  You will be task focussed and have excellent attention to detail.

Our Client, based just outside Ely, is a family owned business and is one of the largest suppliers of products to the reptile industry.

We are looking for a Sales Administrator to join their team on a permanent basis.

The main duties include:

  • First point of contact for customers, answering incoming calls and dealing with emails
  • Dealing with a range of customers on a daily basis handling queries, orders and complaints
  • Learning about products to be able to answer customer queries
  • Processing sales orders
  • Maintaining and updating customer information accurately on the company’s system
  • Working as part of a team, coordinating with colleagues to ensure deadlines are met
  • Liaising with external courier companies to provide customer updates and resolve any delivery issues

Our Client, based just outside of Ely, is looking for a Customer Service Operative to join their team and assist the supervisor in the daily operational functions of the Customer Service department.  Your main responsibilities will be processing data in a timely manner to meet customer expectations and to support operational activities providing effective communication to customers, the team and other personnel.

Main Duties:

  • Assist the Customer Service Supervisor and Manager to deliver all aspects of Customer Service to the required standards.

  • Maintain adequate and accurate records that are necessary to support the information needs of the business; specifically Customers, Finance and Operations.
  • Assist the Customer Service Supervisor to produce daily, weekly and monthly KPI’s as required for each customer in a timely manner.
  • Assist the Customer Service Supervisor to raise accurate invoices within the required timeframes, in the agreed format for each customer.
  • Perform general office administrative duties as and when required.
  • Assist the Customer Service Supervisor in covering the reception and weighbridge area (where applicable) in the absence of the full-time member of staff.
  • Assist the Customer Service Supervisor in managing the internal systema specifically; ISO9000 and 14001 (where applicable).
  • Adhere to all Health & Safety processes, assisting the Customer Service Supervisor in conducting regular checks to identify and minimise any risks.

This is a temporay to permanent role. The successful candidate will have previous experience of working in a busy admin / office environment with an understanding of stock control.  You will also have experience of customer service and good communications skills in person and on the telephone.  You will be IT literate, competent with WMS and MS Office, specifically Excel.
