The role

The main function of this role is to ensure the smooth running of the sales office as well as working with and giving support to the administration manager.

Main Responsibilities

  • Answering and dealing with telephone calls.
  • Daily close of despatched orders.
  • Daily order processing via post, telephone, fax and email, quickly and efficiently.
  • Daily invoicing of works orders.
  • Mailing/Contact database update.
  • Ensure all customers special needs re ordering requirements are documented on the system and those involved notified.
  • Maintain customer files and sales order files.
  • Other general administrative tasks.

Requirements

  • Accuracy of sales order input and invoicing.
  • Speed, accuracy & compliance of ISO9001 procedures for the dissemination of information and order processing.
  • Effective and efficient use of computerised systems.
  • Speed and efficient response to customer enquiries and dissemination of the same.
  • Time keeping and attendance.

Previous export experience would also be beneficial but not essential.

This position is 9-17:30 Monday to Friday. Full training will be provided to the right candidate

The Role

Working within the Production department dealing with extrusion, laying-up, braiding and any other processes that are required for the manufacture of sub-sea cables. 

Main Responsibilities:

Warehouse Operative/ Picker Packer

Our client based in Waterbeach is looking for Warehouse Operatives to join their growing team. The candidate will be tasked with preparing for the distribution of customer orders in a professional and efficient way. Various tasks will be required in order to contribute towards the efficient running of the Warehouse.

Working hours – 07.00 – 16.00 Monday to Thursday and 7.00 – 13.00 Friday (Friday afternoons will be worked on a rota basis) Overtime will also be required during peak season.

Overtime is paid at 1.5x Monday - Saturday after 40hours. Double pay on Sundays.

Key Responsibilities

  • Source products based on requirements on tickets detailing customer orders
  • Update the system under Notes to specify ‘packed as requested’
  • Fold garments appropriately and attach the relevant ticket
  • Take responsibility for the quality, efficiency and pace of your own work
  • Ensure garments are in the correct size grouping prior to packing and use initiative to pre-empt problems
  • QC all items on return from ceremonies, send for cleaning/repair if required.
  • Take on all other duties as required within the Packing section, such as helping the Hoods, Hats or spares teams, folding hoods and gowns etc.
